AVI assignment in Manufahi, East Timor - based in Same

AVI, in partnership with Friends of Same is looking for a volunteer to work in Same, East Timor to advise on Community Development.

Here at FOS we would like to thank the past Committee Members for all the valuable work that

Gareth Ivory Foundation film fundraiser, 12 January 2011

The Gareth Ivory Foundation is holding a screening of 'The King's Speech' on 12 January 2011 at Palace Balwyn cinema. This event will help to raise funds to support an East Timorese woman to train as a dentist.

December events: METAC dinner (3 December) and FoS community meeting (8 December)

The final METAC Welcome dinner for 2010 is on Friday 3 December, featuring a launch of the new Fuan Nabilan CD.

The final Friends of Same community meeting for 2010 is on Wednesday 8 December. Meredith Kiraly and David Hoadley will talk about their trip to Timor with Intrepid Travel, and Joan Fordyce and Esther Anderson will talk and show photos about their trip to Timor in September, with a focus on Same.
